Taking cue from the client’s preferences, the apartment was envisioned as a seamless confluence of the old and the new. Vintage panelled Burma teak doors were carefully restored and reintroduced throughout the home, lending the spaces warmth, character, and a distinctive architectural identity. Existing furniture pieces were thoughtfully upcycled and reused wherever possible, allowing the home to retain a sense of familiarity and personal history while embracing a renewed aesthetic.

Wooden screens were introduced to subtly demarcate the private areas from the living spaces, creating layers of privacy without compromising the openness of the layout. Brass, coated aluminium, damask wallpaper, and fluted wood appear as understated accents across the home, adding richness and tactile depth to the interiors. The interplay of textures, tones, and materials comes together to create a harmonious and timeless environment that the family now warmly calls home.
