The project brief was to create a contemporary home defined by clean lines and understated European influences. One of the primary design challenges was the limited influx of natural light due to the close proximity of adjacent residential high-rise buildings. In response, the living, corridor, and kitchen spaces were opened up to allow light and ventilation to permeate more freely through the apartment, creating a brighter and more expansive spatial experience.

Walls that were removed were thoughtfully replaced with light-filtering fluted glass and movable partitions, ensuring a sense of openness while still maintaining functional zoning and privacy where required. The introduction of a walk-in wardrobe within the master bedroom further helped create a subtle spatial buffer, adequately screening the kitchen and cooking area from the rest of the home.

The use of wall mouldings, metal and glass partitions, along with a restrained contemporary colour palette, lends the apartment a refined cosmopolitan character, evoking the atmosphere of a modern European residence reminiscent of apartments in Budapest.
