Taking cue from the Client’s preference, the apartment is designed as a confluence of the old and new. Vintage, panelled Burma teak doors are restored and used through the house adding a unique design element. Old furniture is upcycled and re-used wherever possible. Wooden screens added to separate the private spaces from the living space. Brass, coated aluminium, damask wallpaper and fluted wood appear as subtle accents through the house. The various textures, hues and materials integrate to create a harmonious space which the family now calls home.
